Style of the Week

Blazers have grown to become wardrobe staples from over-sized to fitted. We love the color of this lady's blazer and how she has styled it. What's more is you too can get this outfit from the High Street.
Blazer: Zara

Yay! Another luxury designer to reach out to the high street shoppers as Versace designs for H & M

High Street brand H&M have managed to lure Versace into designing a collection for them. Versace is of course one of many designers that have designed for H&M. Creative director of the Versace brand, Donatella Versace said this morning. "The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere." There is no doubt that this collection will sell out within minutes, as it offers the people with the not so luxury budget to get a taste of the lavish fashion and own a reasonably priced designer item.
The designer brand Lanvin was the latest to merge with H&M and it did so successfully, as did the likes of Jimmy Choo and Stella McCartney. So can we expect more lavish designers brands to become accessible in the high street? Designers have of course been reluctant to the merge of luxury and high street fashions, perhaps it threatens their brand identity, but one thing’s for sure this collection will be a huge success, great brand awareness for Versace and great publicity for our good old H&M!

Essex Fashion Week

New York, London, Paris and Milan watch out for Essex.

When Essex Fashion Week was mentioned during the first season of hit reality show The Only way is Essex (TOWIE), many thought it was a joke. The event which is now in its second season was founded by twins Adam and Simon Ryan as a platform to showcase what the county had to offer.

The event was held over a period of three days at the beautiful Fairlop Waters. Day one was assigned to the press, day two for students and the general public and day three was for the stars.

First up to showcase on the press day was New Look who were also the headline sponsors of the event. They showcased their new season collection which consisted of bright colours and perfect florals for the Essex summer.

Jessica Wright
The only way is Essex stars, Lydia Bright and Jessica Wright, took to the stage as models during the show and of course we won’t be in Essex if there were noskimpy outfits so the rest of the show was dominated by short dresses, bikinis and shorts.

Other brands which showcased include Cherice boutique in Essex, Sweetboy children’s wear and One Off one You the label owned by the twins and founders of Essex fashion week.

The highlight of the day was Essex Born Joey Bevan of Pointed Brown Shoes who created a beautiful dress out of cling film for TOWIE cast member Lydia Bright. Apart from a few kinks here and there the event was a success with a true Essex influence
